Palmetto Bluff is a 20,000 acre luxury community and resort property nestled between Savannah and Hilton Head.

As a destination wedding, we wanted to find a venue that felt both remote and vacation-worthy, yet accessible and convenient for our guests. The real magic of this place, is that once you arrive at Palmetto Bluff, everything you need is within walking, biking, and golf-cart distance.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) | approx. 30-40 mins by car

American, Allegiant, Breeze, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Silver, Southwest, United

Standard rental car options available at both airports.

While renting a car isn't necessary to participate in the wedding weekend festivities, there are a limited number of taxis within the Savannah / Hilton Head area. Ubers are available from SAV, but please note Uber does not service the Property. We recommend booking transportation in advance if you'll need a ride to and from Palmetto Bluff.

Nestled along the scenic May River, Montage Palmetto Bluff is set within a vibrant 20,000-acre community. The resort encompasses an extensive nature preserve, two picturesque villages featuring an array of restaurants and dining options, multiple swimming pools, premier fitness & spa facilities, a riverfront marina, and a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

Seperate from Montage (but still on Property), there are a number of luxury private homes and cottages available for rent within Palmetto Bluff. In addition to searching through VRBO or Airbnb, we love using Luxury Simplified for home bookings.

All of the below are located conveniently "On Property" with everything you could ever need easily accessible via walking, biking, or golf-cart.

What to Wear

First and foremost, please wear what you feel most comfortable in!

We recommend packing an assortment of attire:

Athletic / leisure wear
Swimsuit
Golf / tennis clothing (tennis whites not required but welcome)
Coastal casual (think: dinner out on vacation)
Formal attire for the wedding reception (black tie optional)

While we are hoping for beautiful spring sunny weather (65-75 degrees), the weather can vary in April, from crisp spring day to low 80s. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt for mornings and a sweater or shawl for evenings just in case.
